USC Associative Learning Study Opportunity
The Translational Research in Eating Disorders (TRED) Program at USC under the direction of Dr. Stuart Murray is currently recruiting control participants for a study on learning styles between anorexia nervosa patients and those with no psychiatric diagnoses (parameters: 12+ years old, any sex and gender, can read and write in English, and no current psychiatric diagnoses). The study involves a simple paired learning task while they take physiological measurements (done by attaching an electrode pad to hand and collarbone). For any participants below the age of 19, we would require parental and student consent. The study provides a great opportunity for students to experience and participate in NIH-funded research. By taking part, all participants will be entered into a raffle for the chance to win a new Apple MacBook Pro. In addition to participating in the study, they can also lead information sessions (for any interested students, not just those able to participate) on the process of how they brainstorm, plan, and then execute their experiments. |
